Goofs : Continuity: In the fight scene when we first meet Adler. We see her handkerchief on the ledge which distracts Holmes when he goes to look for her. He’s punched and spins around where he falls to the ground. The handkerchief is missing. When he stands back up it has returned.

Trivia : Paul Scheuring had said that the initial concept for the series (a man deliberately getting himself sent to prison in order to break out again) was suggested to him by a female colleague of his. He thought it was a great idea, but was initially stumped as to why someone would embark on such a strange mission or how he could stretch the idea out long enough for a TV show. He later came up with the idea of the wrongfully accused brother, and the conspiracy subplot. He then started work on writing the pilot script for the show.

Goofs : Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Michael says that he chose Panama because there is no extradition treaty. Based on the date on Sara’s father’s tombstone, 1 July 2005, Michael was still incarcerated on 8 May 2005 when the United States and Panama entered into an extradition treaty, explaining why he would be unaware that the brothers could be extradited.

Plot Summary : An engineer (Wentworth Miller) installs himself in a prison he helped design, in order to help his brother (Dominic Purcell), a death-row inmate who insists he did not commit the crime for which he has been sentenced to die and help him escape.

As an engineer who helped design the prison where Lincoln is being held, Michael takes drastic measures to help his brother. Then a chase starts, leading Hector to a time machine that brings him back nearly an hour in the past. The man in charge of the time machine explains to Hector (Hector 2) that he must not interfere with the other Hector (Hector 1) so he can go into the time machine again. Things complicate, and Hector 2 is hit by a car, injuring his face. To stop the bleeding, he covers his face with a bandage that turns into pink because of the blood. Then Hector 2 realizes he has to stab Hector 1 and chase him to the time machine in order to make things right.
